            that?</i></h3>
          </li>
          Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format developed by Adobe Systems, Inc.
          It is a commonly used format to distribute documents online. The main benefit of using
          PDF for document distribution is that, when properly generated, it allows readers on different
          platforms (e.g. Windows, Mac and UNIX) to view files as originally intended by the author.
          PDF files can contain graphics, equations, various fonts and symbols, and retain the original
          layout (such as margins and pagination).<br/>
<br/>
          First, you must have the software necessary to write PDF files. Although the software
          used to <em>read</em> PDF files can be <a href="http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html" target="new" >
          downloaded for free from Adobe</a>, Adobe does charge for the complete Acrobat
          package with Acrobat Distiller, the software used to <em>write</em> PDF files. Academic
          discounts are frequently available and depending on the word-processor and printer drivers
          you're using there are also free programs that produce PDF. <br/>
<br/>
The general process of creating a PDF file involves first writing your document as you normally would in your word processor.
Then, instead of printing it to paper, you print to a file that gets converted to a PDF file. <br/>
<br/>
The tips outlined below will help guide you through the correct settings when creating your PDF file. <br/><br/>
<ul>
	  <li>When writing your paper, try to avoid unusual fonts. Instead, use standard fonts such as Times New Roman or Arial. </li>
          <li>For graphics, it's best to use EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files rather than bitmaps, GIFs, or JPEG images.
          Use a high resolution such as 300-dpi. </li>
          <li>Do not use Adobe Acrobat Writer to create the files; use Acrobat Distiller instead. Distiller comes
          with the full version of Adobe Acrobat (Acrobat Reader cannot produce PDF files). </li>
          <li>Always embed all fonts (and for copyright purposes, change the setting to embed up to 99% rather than 100%) </li>

	      <li>Always use embeddable Type 1 or TrueType fonts. </li>
          <li>Use the settings for <em>print optimized</em> rather than optimized for the screen. </li>
          <li>Create the PDF file on the same machine where the original document was created to ensure that the fonts
          necessary for viewing and printing the resulting PDF file are available during PDF creation.</li>
          </ul>

          <p>Authors are permitted to post the<em> title</em> and <em>abstract</em> of their articles on any web site. They are also permitted to post links on any web site that direct readers to the paper on the SbE web site.<br/>

<h2>About now publishers</h2>

<h3>Background
</h3>
<p><strong>now</strong>
was started by two senior publishing executives to provide the research community with a partnership for publishing. International in structure, the company is ideally placed to bring a new era to academic publishing, which values editors and authors, deploys a liberal and fair copyright policy, and provides librarians with value for money. The primary mission of <strong>now</strong> is to improve scholarly communication, speed the flow of information, and reward the scientist. The company uses modern web-based marketing and manufacturing techniques to minimize costs. Using targeted marketing and print-on-demand publishing technologies, <strong>now</strong> is able to significantly compensate authors and editors for their efforts, and pass on cost-savings to librarians.
</p>
<h3>Editorial Philosophy</h3>
<p>Our philosophy is based on the following three principles:</p>
<p><strong>Quality:</strong> Each journal has a broad editorial board whose "tastes" ensure that each issue accurately reflects the state-of-the-art. The editorial board members, led by eminent figures as editors-in-chief, are the top researchers in each field. The peer-review process further ensures that quality is maintained consistently high across the products.</p>
<p><strong>Fairness: </strong>We started this company because we believe in the product, but we also believe in compensating authors and editors and charging reasonable prices for the content. By using a subscription/site license model we can provide unlimited campus-wide access to each review at a reasonable cost per issue. A liberal copyright policy allows students to use any of the issues in course packs, etc., provided that the institution is subscribing to the publication. We are being creative in our compensation and pricing policy to ensure everyone involved is fairly compensated for their effort and that subscribing libraries have a high-usage product at a reasonable price.</p>
<p><strong>Openness: </strong> <strong>now</strong> authors retain copyright but license to the publisher the exclusive rights to distribute the work in both printed and electronic formats for commercial purposes. This enables the academic to re-use his material for research and teaching purposes whilst allowing us to ensure the work is distributed throughout the world in the high-quality form that is desirable for all users.<br/>
</p>
<h3>Marketing</h3>
<p><strong>now</strong> has formed partnerships with <strong>Edward Elgar Publishing Ltd.</strong> and <strong>World Scientific Publishing</strong>
to accelerate its marketing activities. These partnerships give <strong>now</strong> access to well established sales and marketing channels throughout the world.. We use a mixture of targeted direct mail and web-based customer relationship management to provide effective non-intrusive marketing for all our
</p>
<h3>Manufacturing</h3>
<p> Time to market and speed of publication is important in scholarly communication. All too often interesting research findings are not published in a timely manner due to slow review processes and outdated production technologies. As a result, many journals have simply become the archive of finished research rather than the vehicle for scholarly communication. <strong>now</strong> is unencumbered by old technology and employs modern publishing strategies (on-line submission and reviewing, web-based production to speed the proofing process, publish-on-demand, digital printing) to expedite the publication process

<h2>Instructions for Authors</h2>

<p>The review process for the journal is designed to provide
authors with timely decisions. All submissions will be reviewed both by the
editors and by external reviewers. The review process will be single-blind with
referees remaining anonymous.
</p>

<h3>General Instructions for Final Submission</h3>
<p>
The journal accepts only electronic submissions. Please submit
both a copy from a standard word or text processor, such as Word or LaTeX, and a pdf file.
</p>
<p>
The publisher uses modern production techniques to create both printed and
online formats of articles. These processes have been developed to streamline
the final version to publication stage.
</p>
<p>
Accepted manuscripts will be copyedited and proofread, so it is not necessary
to prepare camera-ready copy. It is, however, mutually advantageous to adhere
to the structure of the approved style files.
</p>
<h3>Manuscript Specifics</h3>

<h4>Abstract</h4>
<p>
Please provide an abstract of not more than 150 words. The abstract will appear in various online and printed abstract journals.
</p>

<h4>Title Page
</h4>
<p>Include the title of the article, author(s) name(s), and affiliation(s). Acknowledgements
should also be on this page and should be the first footnote of the article. Authors are
expected to reveal the source of any financial or research support received in connection with the preparation of their article.
</p>
<h4>
Tables and Figures
</h4>
<p>
Number figures and tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.). Do not number them
according to the section in which they appear. Please do not insert figures and tables in
the text. Instead, in the space immediately after the paragraph in which the figure or
table is first referenced, insert a text tag as follows:
</p>
<p>
[Table 1 here]
</p>
<p>
Tables cannot be set landscape. Please format them to be set vertically on the journal page.
</p>
<h4>
Reference Citations
</h4>
<p>Include the first name of each author when first mentioned, either in text or in
footnotes. Each subsequent reference to an author should include only the last name,
unless two or more authors have the same last name.
</p>
<p>
If you cite an article that is neither published nor accepted for publication,
please make every effort to find an internet link to it, and include the web site
address in the reference list, giving the full <!-- &#34;http//&#34; --> link. If you cite an unpublished
article of which you are the author, you must make that article available on the web
before the journal article is published.
</p>
<p>
Citations should take the place of footnotes whenever possible. Work them into the
text smoothly. For material in quotation marks, include page number references.
Try to avoid using e.g, cf, and &#34;see also.&#34;
</p>
<p><i>
      Allan Gibbard (1973) and Mark Satterthwaite (1975) independently asked the
      question of what happens when the agents studied by Kenneth Arrow in Social
      Choice and Individual Values (1963) decided...others refocused attention on resource allocation
      (Charles Kindleberger 1964a,b; John Cornwall 1977).
</i></p>
<h4>
Footnotes
</h4>
<p>
Number footnotes in order, corresponding to numbers in the text, and place
them at the bottom of the page (rather than as endnotes). Footnotes are not
necessary for works cited; use citations instead as shown above.
</p>
<h4>
Reference List
</h4>
<p>
Verify references carefully; they must correspond to the citations in text.
List alphabetically by author's last name and then by year. In references lists,
only the first author's name is inverted. Please list all authors; avoid using et al.
in lieu of authors' names. Include authors' first names unless the first names are not published.

          <h2><strong>Aims &amp; Scope<br /></strong></h2>
<p>As local, national and global environmental and natural resource situations deteriorate, intervention policies become particularly important. The increased level of policy debate regarding environmental and natural resources is well reflected in a rising trend of published analytical work that addresses the interaction between needed policies to better manage environmental and natural resources and the strategic behavior of those who are involved in its design and implementation, and those affected by them. Environmental policy and strategic behavior has become a field that interests researchers from several disciplines in the social sciences, employing different methodologies while addressing similar research questions. Simultaneously, policy makers seek more help from researchers in the process of developing and implementing environmental policies. The impact of the increasing body of such works on both the scientific literature and the policy making process would be much more effective if championed by a high quality publication outlet.</p>

<p>Strategic Behavior and the Environment is intended to provide a platform for the various disciplines that jointly contribute to our understanding of that field. Scholars in economics (including experimental economics, political economy, and game theory), political science, international relations, negotiation, and other disciplines are invited to submit manuscripts for publication consideration following a peer-review process. The journal will also encourage/solicit contributions from policy makers who have been involved in design and implementation of environmental policies while experiencing strategic behavior on the part of the parties involved. </p>

          </li>
<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
The general process of creating a PDF file involves first writing your document as you normally would in your word processor.
Then, instead of printing it to paper, you print to a file that gets converted to a PDF file. <br/>
<br/>
The tips outlined below will help guide you through the correct settings when creating your PDF file. <br/><br/>
<ul>

          </ul>

<h2>About now publishers</h2>

<h3>Background
</h3>
</p>
</p>
We use a mixture of targeted direct mail and web-based customer relationship management to provide effective non-intrusive marketing for all our
</p>

<h2>Instructions for Review Authors</h2>

<p>The review process for the International Review is designed to provide
authors with timely decisions. All submissions will be reviewed both by the
editors and by external reviewers. The review process will be single-blind with
referees remaining anonymous.
</p>

<h3>General Instructions for Final Submission</h3>
<p>
The International Review accepts only electronic submissions. Please submit
both a copy from a standard word processor and a pdf file.
</p>
<p>
The publisher uses modern production techniques to create both printed and
online formats of articles. These processes have been developed to streamline
the final version to publication stage.
</p>
<p>
Accepted manuscripts will be copyedited and proofread, so it is not necessary
to prepare camera-ready copy. It is, however, mutually advantageous to adhere
to the structure of the approved style files.
</p>
<h3>Manuscript Specifics</h3>

<h4>Abstract</h4>
<p>
Please provide an abstract of not more than 150 words. The abstract will appear in various online and printed abstract journals.
</p>

<h4>Title Page
</h4>
<p>Include the title of the article, author(s) name(s), and affiliation(s). Acknowledgements
should also be on this page and should be the first footnote of the article. Authors are
expected to reveal the source of any financial or research support received in connection with the preparation of their article.
</p>
<h4>
Tables and Figures
</h4>
<p>
Number figures and tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.). Do not number them
according to the section in which they appear. Please do not insert figures and tables in
the text. Instead, in the space immediately after the paragraph in which the figure or
table is first referenced, insert a text tag as follows:
</p>
<p>
[Table 1 here]
</p>
<p>
Tables cannot be set landscape. Please format them to be set vertically on the journal page.
</p>
<h4>
Reference Citations
</h4>
<p>Include the first name of each author when first mentioned, either in text or in
footnotes. Each subsequent reference to an author should include only the last name,
unless two or more authors have the same last name.
</p>
<p>
If you cite an article that is neither published nor accepted for publication,
please make every effort to find an internet link to it, and include the web site
address in the reference list, giving the full <!-- &#34;http//&#34; --> link. If you cite an unpublished
article of which you are the author, you must make that article available on the web
before the International Review article is published.
</p>
<p>
Citations should take the place of footnotes whenever possible. Work them into the
text smoothly. For material in quotation marks, include page number references.
Try to avoid using e.g, cf, and &#34;see also.&#34;
</p>
<p><i>
      Allan Gibbard (1973) and Mark Satterthwaite (1975) independently asked the
      question of what happens when the agents studied by Kenneth Arrow in Social
      Choice and Individual Values (1963) decided...others refocused attention on resource allocation
      (Charles Kindleberger 1964a,b; John Cornwall 1977).
</i></p>
<h4>
Footnotes
</h4>
<p>
Number footnotes in order, corresponding to numbers in the text, and place
them at the bottom of the page (rather than as endnotes). Footnotes are not
necessary for works cited; use citations instead as shown above.
</p>
<h4>
Reference List
</h4>
<p>
Verify references carefully; they must correspond to the citations in text.
List alphabetically by author's last name and then by year. In references lists,
only the first author's name is inverted. Please list all authors; avoid using et al.
in lieu of authors' names. Include authors' first names unless the first names are not published.

<p>Environmental and resource economics has become a broad topic, making connections with many other subdisciplines in

characterizes modern academic research, this proliferation of topics and methodologies makes it impossible for anyone,
even those who specialize in the subject, to keep up with developments in the field.</p>

<p>The International Review of Environmental and Resource Economics is designed to fill this niche by publishing
state-of-the-art review articles by top specialists in their fields who have made substantial contributions to the
area that they are surveying. Authors are invited by the editors, in consultation with the editorial board, and each
paper is critically reviewed.  </p>

          </li>
          Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format developed by Adobe Systems, Inc. It is a commonly used format to distribute documents online. The main benefit of using PDF for document distribution is that, when properly generated, it allows readers on different platforms (e.g. Windows, Mac and UNIX) to view files as originally intended by the author. PDF files can contain graphics, equations, various fonts and symbols, and retain the original layout (such as margins and pagination).<br/>
<br/>
          First, you must have the software necessary to write PDF files. Although the software used to <em>read</em> PDF files can be <a href="http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html" target="new" >downloaded for free from Adobe</a>, Adobe does charge for the complete Acrobat package with Acrobat Distiller, the software used to <em>write</em> PDF files. Academic discounts are frequently available and depending on the word-processor and printer drivers you're using there are also free programs that produce PDF. <br/>
<br/>
The general process of creating a PDF file involves first writing your document as you normally would in your word processor. Then, instead of printing it to paper, you print to a file that gets converted to a PDF file. <br/>
<br/>
The tips outlined below will help guide you through the correct settings when creating your PDF file. <br/><br/>
<ul>
Distiller comes with the full version of Adobe Acrobat (Acrobat Reader cannot produce PDF files).

</li>
          <li>Create the PDF file on the same machine where the original document was created to ensure that the fonts necessary for viewing and printing the resulting PDF file are available during PDF creation.</li>
          </ul>

          Unless stated otherwise, now publishers has exclusive world-wide rights to distribute its journals' articles <em>electronically</em>. Unless stated otherwise, the remaining property rights belong to the author or authors of the article. Readers may not repost any article to another web site or store an electronic copy of the article in a manner that would allow others to have access to it. <h2>About now publishers</h2>

<h3>Background
</h3>
</p>
</p>
We use a mixture of targeted direct mail and web-based customer relationship management to provide effective non-intrusive marketing for all our
</p>

Instructions for Authors</h2>

<p>The review process of the QJPS is designed to provide authors with timely decisions. All submissions will receive an initial in-house review to filter out manuscripts that are inappropriate for various reasons such as excessive length, falling outside the scope of the journal, or generally lacking the requisite quality to warrant demands on referees’ time. The remaining manuscripts will be peer-reviewed under the supervision of the editor for the relevant subfield. The review process will be single-blind with referees remaining anonymous. Referee reports will be advisory but not definitive in the editors’ decisions. Revise and resubmits will be used sparingly.</p>

<h3>Initial Submissions</h3>

<p>The QJPS accepts only electronic submissions. Submissions should be non-anonymous, double-spaced, and printed on standard paper with 12-point font.</p>

<h3>General Instructions for Final Submission</h3>

<p>
now publishers uses modern production techniques to create both printed and online formats of articles. These processes have been developed to streamline the final version to publication stage.   </p>

<p>Accepted manuscripts will be copyedited and proofread, so it is not necessary to prepare camera-ready copy. </p>
<h4>Abstract</h4>

<p>
Please provide an abstract of not more than 150 words.  The abstract will appear in various online and printed abstract journals.</p>

<h4>Citations and References</h4>

<p>
Citations should conform to the style guidelines of the American Political Science Association’s <em>Style Manual for Political Science</em>.  An alphabetical list of references must be provided at the end of the paper.
During production, we will use these references to create links to the cited articles that are available on the Internet.
</p>

<h4>Figures and Tables</h4>
<p>
After a manuscript is accepted for publication, graphics for the final version must be submitted as separate files. When supplying color figures or halftones (photos), ensure that there is sufficient contrast to enable clear black and white printing. Use either Times New Roman or Arial typefaces on all figures.  Do not put boxes around figures. Halftones should be supplied in 300 dpi resolution.</p>

          <h2><strong>Aims &amp; Scope<br /></strong></h2>
<p>In the last half-century, social scientists have engaged in a methodologically focused and substantively far-reaching mission to make the study of politics scientific. The mutually reinforcing components in this pursuit are the development of positive theories and the testing of their empirical implications. Although this paradigm has been associated with many advances in the understanding of politics, no leading journal of political science is dedicated primarily to the publication of positive political science.</p>
<p>The Quarterly Journal of Political Science will solicit, review, and publish the highest quality manuscripts in positive political science and contemporary political economy. The substantive content of the journal will be broad and eclectic, including cutting-edge research on any aspect of private, local, national, comparative, or international politics. The methodological approach will be analytical, focusing on positive political theories, empirical tests of those theories, and the measurement of causal relationships. In their commitment to making the Journal the premier interdisciplinary publication of scientific research on politics, the editors welcome submissions not only from political scientists but also from scholars in cognate disciplines such as economics, business, and law.</p>

          <br />
          <span class="c1"><strong>Background<br /></strong></span><br />
          <strong>now</strong> was started by two senior publishing executives to
          provide the research community with a partnership for
          publishing. International in structure, the company is
          ideally placed to bring a new era to academic publishing,
          which values editors and authors, deploys a liberal and fair
          copyright policy, and provides librarians with value for
          money. The primary mission of <strong>now</strong> is to improve
          scholarly communication, speed the flow of information, and
          reward the scientist. The company uses modern web-based
          marketing and manufacturing techniques to minimize costs.
          Using targeted marketing and print-on-demand publishing
          technologies now is able to significantly compensate authors
          and editors for their efforts, and pass on cost-savings to
          librarians.<br />
          <br />
          <br />
          <span class="c1"><strong>Focus<br /></strong></span><br />
          <strong>now</strong> has introduced a new type of product into the
          research information market. Focusing initially in the
          Business and Technology areas, <strong>now</strong> has introduced Foundations
          and Trends&#174; (FnT). This product combines the peer-review of
          journals, the high usage of reference works, and the pedagogy
          of textbooks. Each "issue" of FnT comprises one or more
          monographs of up to 100 pages written by research and opinion
          leaders in the field that surveys the literature and offers a
          state-of-the-art review of the subject in full including a
          complete bibliography. The issues are published
          electronically upon acceptance with subsequent distribution
          in print format. Each issue is subject to peer-review
          thereby vetting the content and validating the information.
          Authors are also encouraged to revise their contribution on a
          regular basis to maintain currency and the incentives include
          the long-term citation impact of the article and financial
          compensation. As the number of "issues" grows over time, the
          subscriber has access to a large corpus of literature, "in
          effect a "digital library" covering the entire scope of a
          discipline.<br />
          <br />
          <br />
          <span class="c1"><strong>Editorial
          Philosophy<br /></strong></span><br />
          Our philosophy is based on the following three
          principles:<br />

          <p><strong>Quality:</strong> Each <strong>FnT</strong> has a broad
          editorial board whose "tastes" ensure that each issue
          accurately reflects the state-of-the-art. The editorial board
          members, led by an eminent figure as editor-in-chief, are
          the top researchers and teachers in each field. Authors are
          selected and invited on the basis of their recognized
          standing as renowned experts in their particular subject. The
          peer-review process further ensures that quality is
          maintained consistently high across the products.<br /></p>

          <p><strong>Fairness:</strong> We started this company because we
          believe in the product, but we also believe in compensating
          authors and editors and charging reasonable prices for the content.
	  This is one of the main reasons we have chosen a
          serial type model rather than a book series. By using a
          subscription/site license model we can provide unlimited
          campus-wide access to each review at a reasonable cost per
          issue. Our liberal copyright policy allows students to use
          any of the issues in course packs, etc., provided that the
          institution is subscribing to the publication, thereby
          eliminating the need of having individual copies bought by
          students or faculty. We are being creative in our
          compensation and pricing policy to ensure everyone involved
          is fairly compensated for their effort and that subscribing
          libraries have a high-usage product at a reasonable
          price.<br /></p>

          <p><strong>Openness: </strong> <strong> now</strong> allows authors to retain
          copyright but authors license to the publisher the
          exclusive rights to distribute the work in both printed and
          electronic formats for commercial purposes. This enables the
          academic to re-use his material for research and teaching
          purposes whilst allowing us to ensure the work is distributed
          throughout the world in the high-quality form that is
          desirable for all users.<br />
          <br />
          <br />
          <span class="c1"><strong>Marketing<br /></strong></span><br />
          <strong>now</strong> has formed partnership with <strong>Edward Elgar
          Publishing Ltd</strong> and <strong>World Scientific Publishing</strong>
          to accelerate its marketing activities.
          These partnerships give <strong>now</strong> access to well established sales
          and marketing channels throughout the world. We use a mixture of
          targeted direct mail and web-based customer relationship
          management to provide effective non-intrusive marketing for
          all our products.<br />
          <br />
          <br />
          <span class="c1"><strong>Manufacturing<br /></strong></span><br />
          Time to market and speed of publication is important in
          scholarly communication. All too often interesting research
          findings are not published in a timely manner due to slow
          review processes and outdated production technologies. As a
          result, many journals have simply become the archive of
          finished research rather than the vehicle for scholarly
          communication. <strong>now</strong> is unencumbered by old technology and
          employs modern publishing strategies (on-line submission and
          reviewing, web-based production to speed the proofing
          process, publish-on-demand, digital printing) to expedite the
          publication process.<br />

        <br />
        <span class="c5">General Instructions</span><br />
        Now Publishers Inc uses modern production techniques to create
        both printed and online formats of author's articles. These
        processes have been developed to make it easy for authors to
        create their articles in a way in which we can quickly produce
        the published version. To help us keep costs low and provide
        rapid publication we ask our authors to create their articles
        in LaTeX or Microsoft Word.
        We are not expecting camera-ready copy from our authors so
        please do not spend time perfecting the layout of your paper.
        After submission we will copy-edit and proof-read
        your article for grammatical errors. The author stylefiles
        create a layout for the printed book version of your article.
        We will use this to create the online HTML and journal style
        PDF layout. To help you further, please adopt the following
        guidelines<br />
        <br />
        <span class="c5">Consecutive Numbering of Parts</span><br />
        All manuscript pages, footnotes, equations, and references
        should be labeled in consecutive numerical order. Illustrations
        and tables should be cited in text in numerical order.<br />
        <br />
        <span class="c5">Abstract</span><br />
        Please provide an abstract to the article. This will be used as
        the cover text in the printed book version and in the online
        journal version. It should describe what the paper reviews and
        for whom it is of interest. The abstract will also appear in
        various online and printed abstract journals.<br />
        <br />
        <span class="c5">References</span><br />
        A numbered list of references must be provided at the end of
        the paper. The list should be alphabetical. List only one
        reference per reference number. During production we will use
        these references to create links to the cited articles if they
        are available on the internet. It is, therefore, very important
        that you supply as complete a reference as possible and that it
        is structured in the manner requested. See the special
        instructions pertaining to the particular style file you
        use.<br />
        <br />
        <span class="c5">Figures, Tables, and Captions List</span><br />
        All graphics should be submitted as separate files, preferably
        in Encapsulated PostScript, although TIFF and Postscript are
        also acceptable. By default we will use colour figures in the
        HTML and PDF files available online, but print in black and
        white. When supplying colour figures or halftones (photos),
        ensure that there is sufficient contrast to enable clear black
        and white printing. Use either Times New Roman or Arial
        typefaces on all your figures. Do not put boxes around your
        figures to enclose them. Halftones should be supplied in 300
        dpi resolution.<br />

          <br />
          To help prepare your article for Foundations and Trends&#174; we
          have developed LaTeX style files. These style files
          facilitate the production process, enabling three versions of
          your manuscript to be created directly from your input. These
          three versions are 1) online HTML 2) PDF Book format and 3)
          PDF journal version. To use the style files, download the
          zipped files and unpack into your normal LaTeX
          installation.<br />
          <br />
          Include the following as the first line in your LaTeX
          file:<br />
          \documentclass[11pt]{now}<br />
          <br />
          You can now use LaTeX as you normally would.<br />
          <br />
          The archive also includes a file sample.tex and another
          sample.pdf which shows how the output should appear.<br />
          <br />
          <span class="c5">Bibliographic References</span><br />
          Now Publishers embeds links to the original articles in the
          online references. We do this using the Digital Object
          Identifier (DOI) which is akin to an ISBN for digital
          content. This will ensure that the links that we embed are
          persistent and never break. To ensure that the conversion
          processes of the bibliographic references run without errors,
          it is important that the bibliographic information is entered
          in the proper, structured format. This will also enable an
          automatic DOI Lookup for the bibliographic item(s).<br />

          <span class="c5">Bibliography file</span><br />
          We recommend using a separate bibliography file (also called
          "bibliographic database"), instead of entering the references
          directly in the LaTeX sourcefile. Not only does this make it
          easier for you to maintain the references it also ensures
          that they are in a structure that is suitable for our
          conversion processes. Please, enter each bibliographic item
          according to the following structure, in the same order and
          using the same lettercase .<br />
          <br />
          <span class="c5">General syntax</span><br />
          This is the general syntax for entries in the bibliographic
          database:<br />
          @entry_type{key,<br />
          field_name={field text},<br />
          ..<br />
          field_name={field text},<br />
          }<br />
          <br />
          Example article:<br />
          @article{vetracabitari97,<br />
          author={J. Ventura-Travesset and G. Caire and E. Biglieri and
          G. Taricco},<br />
          title={Impact of diversity reception on fading channels with
          coded modulation},<br />
          journal={IEEE Trans. on Communications},<br />
          year={1997},<br />
          volume={45},<br />
          number={5},<br />
          pages={563-572},<br />
          }<br />
          <br />
          In the above example, the first word, prefixed with@,
          describes the 'entry_type' (in this case, article). The
          entry_type is followed by the reference information for that
          entry, enclosed in curly braces{ }. After the first opening
          brace { we find the key by which the reference is used in the
          LaTeX document, referred by the \cite command. This key may
          be any combination of letters, numerals and hyphens or dots,
          except commas. Please note that this key is also
          case-sensitive: if "vetracabitari97" is used in the
          bibliographic file, and "Vetracabitari97" in the \cite
          command, problems will arise during conversion and
          DOI-look-up processes.<br />
          <br />
          The actual reference information is entered in several
          fields, of which some are required, and some are optional. In
          the above example, the fields that are in bold are required,
          the other fields may be entered optionally.<br />
          <br />
          Each field consists of a 'fieldname' (article, author, etc.)
          a =sign (no spaces), and the field text, enclosed by curly
          braces.<br />
          <br />
          The fields may vary with the different entry types.<br />
          <br />
          <br />
          When all the entries have been entered, save the
          bibliographic database under a relevant name with the
          extension .bib, and send this file along together with the
          other source files.<br />
          <br />
          NOTE: It is important to use exactly the same lettercase as
          in the above example and table. Using capitals or a mixture
          of capitals and lower case is not allowed. The bibliographic
          information will be XML-processed and is therefore
          case-sensitive.<br />

          NOW PULBISHERS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH EEP LTD<br />
          <br /></strong></span> <strong>now</strong> publishers announce a series of
          on-line products for the scientific and scholarly research
          community with a focus on business &amp; economics and
          technology &amp; engineering. Foundations and Trends&#174; act as
          a gateway to a library's primary literature and combines the
          peer-review of journals, the high usage of reference works,
          and the pedagogy of textbooks. Furthermore, a unique updating
          procedure will ensure the information remains current and
          keeps track with research developments.<br />

          <p>Each Foundations and Trends&#174; cover a major branch of a
          scientific field and offer current, state-of-the-art review
          articles by opinion/research leaders in their field. Authors
          are allowed 50-100 pages for a complete review of the subject
          and identify how the efforts of many researchers fit together
          providing a "big picture" that puts published work into
          context. Articles are published upon acceptance in electronic
          form and include a complete bibliography linked to the
          original source identifying the most important work in the
          field. This builds quickly into a digital gateway providing a
          trusted starting point to a subject for students and
          researchers.<br /></p>

          <p><strong>now</strong> publishers are partnering with Edward Elgar
          Publishing Ltd. This partnership provides <strong>now</strong>
          publishers with access to shared sales and marketing
          resources, similar sales and distribution channels, and
          publishing synergies especially in business and economics.
          <strong>now</strong> publishers will take EEP into new products and
          markets including on-line products and new areas of
          technology including computer science and electrical
          engineering.<br /></p>

          <p>Edward Elgar, Managing Director of EEP Ltd. said, "The
          introduction of the web-based Foundations and Trends&#174; herald
          a new era in academic publishing. The integration of
          specially commissioned, high-quality review articles with

          <p class="c8">Web-based Foundations and Trends&#174;<br />
          Puts Published Research Into Context<br /></p>

          <p>now publishers today announced a series of on-line
          products for the scientific and scholarly research community.
          Foundations and Trends&#174; act as a gateway to a library's
          primary literature and combines the peer-review of journals,
          the high usage of reference works, and the pedagogy of
          textbooks. Furthermore, a unique updating procedure will
          ensure the information remains current and keeps track with
          research developments.<br /></p>

          <p>Each Foundations and Trends&#174; covers a major branch of a
          scientific discipline and offers current, state-of-the-art
          review articles by opinion/research leaders in their field.
          Authors are allowed 50-100 pages for a complete review of the
          subject and identify how the efforts of many researchers fit
          together providing a "big picture" that puts published work
          into context. Articles are published upon acceptance in
          electronic form and include a complete bibliography linked to
          the original source identifying the most important work in
          the field. This builds quickly into a digital gateway
          providing a trusted starting point to a subject for students
          and researchers.<br /></p>

          <p><strong>now</strong> publishers adheres to the principles of
          partnership with the academic and library communities. For
          the researcher community <strong>now</strong> publishers allows

          library community benefits from a simple site license

          campus-wide access for all students and faculty, and
          unlimited course pack use at subscribing
          institutions.<br /></p>

          <p>Mike Casey, publisher at <strong>now</strong> said, "The
          introduction of the web-based Foundations and Trends&#174; herald
          a new era in academic publishing. The integration of
          specially commissioned, high-quality review articles with
          user-friendly technology provides a powerful research tool to
          librarians, students and researchers alike. Furthermore, the
          modern principles used to distribute the information, put

          <p><strong>now</strong> publishers demonstrates the power of industry
          and internet standards in providing low-cost, high-quality
          and high-functionality to readers and authors. Cornelius van
          de Brugge, CEO of Ambrac Information Management, explains,
          "The use of the standards like XML, XSL and Crossref that
          underpin the first issue of now's Foundations and Trends&#174;,
          have enabled the creation of a truly innovative publishing
          product that gives both librarians and researchers better
          access to research as well as a range of formats in which to
          purchase the content. This, together with a newly developed
          unique publishing platform, using the latest web technology,
          gives <strong>now</strong> the possibility to offer customers the
          functionality they need in their professional
          activities"<br /></p>

          <p>The availability of the article in multiple formats offers
          the customer a choice of functionality at appropriate prices.
          now's liberal copyright policy allows for self-archiving by
          the author in conformance with open access principles, while

          campus-wide access to both HTML and PDF formats with
          unlimited use in course packs. The HTML version has links
          embedded to the original research articles on the web and
          will be updated as new relevant research is published on a
          subject, while the PDF version is printable with the added
          benefit of color figures and photographs. The price for the

          <p><strong>now publishers</strong> announces a new transparent pricing
          structure for its Foundations and Trends&#174; series of review
          journals. The availability of various formats with differing
          levels of functionality enable the customer to purchase the
          content in the form that best suits their needs and
          budget.</p>

          <p>The standard subscription is to the electronic full-text
          HTML and PDF formats. This also includes site-wide access to
          each journal, extensive updates and links to the original
          research papers. Furthermore, customers can download
          unlimited copies of the full-color PDF for use throughout
          their institution. The transparent pricing structure
          comprises an annual platform fee and a fixed price per issue,
          putting all the Foundations and Trends&#174; journal prices in the
          range from $300 (300 outside N. America) for four issues to
          $450 (450 outside N. America) for eight issues. Subscription
          customers can add the print version to their subscription for
          only $10 (10 outside N. America) per issue plus postage.</p>

          <p>Customers not requiring the high-functionality of the
          electronic version can purchase a low-cost printed copy of
          each individual review in book format. Standing orders are
          also available.</p>

          <p>Discounted multi-site licences are available to corporate
          customers who wish to purchase several licences for their
          global information needs. To facilitate corporate customers
          with small number of users permanently located at remote
          sites, now publishers is introducing the option to purchase
          additional user-id and passwords on top of a site licence.
          This gives corporate customers the purchasing options to
          provide access to all their employees in a cost-efficient
          manner.</p>

to offer our customers not only a choice in format, but also a choice in price.
Customers can purchase all our journals now as single issues, as a single-title
subscription or as part of a small or large collection of journals – a first in
scholarly publishing.” Said Mike Casey, Publisher with responsibility for Sales
and Marketing at now publishers.</p>

<p>All terms and conditions remain unchanged. This gives all researchers and students
at subscribing institutions campus-wide access, unlimited use in course packs, and

          <span class="c1"><strong>Modern Publishing<br /></strong></span><br />
          <em>Quality Gateway to Research</em> - Each article
          includes a complete bibliography. Journal references are
          linked to the original source via CrossRef, allowing the
          scientist or student to "drill down" to the primary content.
          The combination of these hyperlinked references and
          accompanying authoritative text puts published work into
          context and gives a quality stamp, forming the gateway to the
          subject.<br />

          <p><em>Time-to-market</em> - The submission, review and
          production process are web-based with strict deadlines.
          The review process focuses on quality, completeness, and
          timeliness. This insures that the content is "fresh" upon
          publication.<br /></p>

          <p><em>Updating</em> - An online updating procedure enables
          subsequent important new work to be identified and
          contextualized in real time. This includes the updating
          of the references, adding new data, and addressing comments.
          Periodically, the intermediary updates will be consolidated
          into a new version of an article.<br /></p>

          <p><em>Copyright</em> - Authors retain copyright, allowing
          them to self-archive their article and use for their own
          non-commercial purposes.<br />
