This Special Issue presents papers that both discuss Richard Easterlin's past career,
including his early years as an economic historian and demographer that
produced the Easterlin Hypothesis, as well as a paper by him and then others
that focus on his more recent work on happiness economics, including the
Easterlin Paradox.
