Abstract

This chapter focuses on the realization of LTI discrete-time systems either in software or hardware. Various structures for the realizations of FIR and IIR discrete-time systems are discussed in detail. Some of the important structures are the cascade, parallel and lattice structures. A computationally efficient frequency-sampling realization of FIR system is also included in the discussion.
